Your Key Responsibilities:
As a Location Accountant / Financial Controller, you'll support the venue management team, helping drive financial performance and operational excellence. Here's a glimpse of what you'll do:
- Serve as the main commercial resource on event days, managing tills, PDQs, and tech to keep everything running perfectly.
- Prepare and review P&L reports pre- and post-event, utilising attendance and SPH assumptions.
- Contribute to weekly, monthly, and annual forecasting and budgeting.
- Create, analyse, and refine budgets, providing clear insights into contract performance.
- Partner with venue leaders to provide reporting, analysis, and business insight.
- Enhance Working Capital by managing debt, stock, and cash control.
- Facilitate seamless internal reporting and business reviews, linking venue and head office teams to ensure efficient finance processes.
Requirements
- Ideally AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA (QBE is also welcome).
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in a similar industry.
- Proficient in Excel, with strong numerical and analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communicator, able to present complex information clearly.
- Flexibility for occasional weekend work and some travel (driver's license preferred).
