They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team. This role is pivotal in driving business expansion and strengthening relationships with existing new customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, with prior experience dealing with manufacturing customers.
What will you be doing?
- Build, grow and expand new sales pipelines in both existing and emerging markets, leveraging on competitive advantages in supply chain, global sourcing and technical services.
- Identify and target new business opportunities, developing and nurturing strong relationships with key customers.
- Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape to identify areas of growth and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive and expand market share and ensure that competitors' information is tracked for strategic action plans.
- Build a strategy for growth in the region, driving operational excellence with on-time-delivery and conduct net promoter surveys
Are you right for this role?
- Prior experience of working within a business development role is essential
- Experience dealing with medium to large manufacturing customers across Scotland or the North East is essential
- Knowledge of monthly forecast and annual planning
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- UK Driving license
- Flexibility to travel across Scotland and the North East
