Location: London/Hybrid (with options for Birmingham office)
Salary: £33,850 - £48,702
A High Speed Rail Organisation is seeking a GIS Data Analyst to join their team. This role offers flexibility with a base in either their London or Birmingham offices.
Role Overview:
The GIS Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the business through GIS data management and associated activities. You will be a part of the Digital Engineering team, aiding delivery functions and interfacing with suppliers across various information types (graphical, non-graphical, and geospatial). As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GIS data management, you will oversee data production, content publishing, and ensure compliance with data quality and assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage data exchanges with suppliers within the company's Common Data Environment, focusing on GIS data.
- Report on data quality issues and analyse root causes, providing feedback to the Digital Engineering Team, Delivery Teams, and Suppliers.
- Support the business in GIS data management and related activities across design, construction, operations, and maintenance disciplines.
- Proven experience in data management and data quality & assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in working with open formats for data interoperability and promoting a software-agnostic approach.
- Experience in raising awareness of Digital Engineering, conducting briefing sessions, and offering support throughout the organisation and its supply chain.
- Familiarity with working within set standards, processes, and systems, with a contribution to decision-making on process improvement.
- In-depth understanding of GIS and its applications.
- Expertise in data content and production management.
- Proficient in data quality techniques and data assurance processes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of BIM Processes as outlined in ISO19650 and related industry standards.
