Senior Civil Structural Engineer
Due to continued growth, exciting opportunities have arisen for Senior Civil Structural Engineers to join a Global Design Engineering Company on a contract basis. This role will be based in an office nearer to your location, Hybrid, Inside of Scope of IR35, 6-12 months contract and at 40 hours a week.
As a Senior Civil Structural Engineer, you will lead and manage structural engineering design and development for civil engineering projects. Your role involves overseeing technical design work to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will prepare project briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals. Successful management of project timelines, budgets, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be crucial to delivering integrated engineering solutions. Upholding stringent quality assurance standards throughout the design process is also essential to this role.
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage structural engineering design for civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with standards and codes.
- Uphold quality assurance standards throughout the design and delivery phases.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve key milestones and objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with structural engineering design and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with extensive experience in leading structural engineering design delivery, including multidisciplinary projects within the civil engineering sector.
- Good knowledge in the design and analysis of heavy concrete and steel structures, with familiarity in current design standards and working practices, including British Standards and American codes.
- Proficiency in designing with appropriate structural analysis packages.
- Experience in the nuclear sector, particularly in the design and implementation of safety-related structures, systems, and components, is strongly preferred and will be advantageous.
