Senior Civil Pipeline Engineer
Due to continued growth, exciting opportunities have arisen for Senior Civil Pipeline Engineers to join a Global Design Engineering Company on a contract basis. This role will be based in Peterborough, Inside of Scope of IR35, 6-12 months contract and at 40 hours a week.
As a Senior Civil Pipeline Engineer, you will lead and manage the technical design work for pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams both in the UK and overseas to deliver high-quality, integrated design solutions. This role requires strong expertise in hydraulics, pipeline materials, and proficiency in digital design tools.
Other responsibilities include:
- Manage a team to undertake technical design work, ensuring adherence to relevant design standards and codes.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
- Oversee the design and engineering of pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance to ensure the integrity and accuracy of design work.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with pipeline design and construction.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Qualifications:
- Chartered Civil Engineer with a minimum of 2 years post-chartered experience.
- Extensive experience in pipeline design delivery, including engagement of multidisciplinary design resources.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pipe restraint and jointing, pipeline materials, bedding, and under-track crossings (UTX).
- Proficiency in digital analysis packages such as HADES, InfoWorks, and EPANET.
