Project Manager

Due to continued growth, exciting opportunities have arisen for Project Manager to join a Global Design Engineering Company on a contract basis. This role will be based in an office near to your location hybrid, Inside of Scope of IR35, 6-12 months contract and at 40 hours a week.

As a Project Manager in the Water Sector, you will lead and manage the delivery of water engineering projects across their entire lifecycle, from feasibility studies and front-end design to detailed design, construction support, and commissioning. Your role will involve overseeing project and programme management, ensuring projects meet agreed targets for programme, budget, and quality. You will collaborate closely with internal and international teams to deliver integrated design solutions, adhering to rigorous quality assurance standards throughout the design process. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing project briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals, as well as compiling necessary project reports and plans.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Project/programme management of delivery across UK and international project lifecycles: feasibility studies, front-end to detailed design (incl. Design and Build), and construction support.
  • Support the project technical team in successfully delivering projects to meet agreed targets, including programme, budget, and quality.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
  • Prepare all necessary project reports and plans, internally and externally as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in project management, specifically in water/wastewater infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in project management of design delivery, including multidisciplinary and Design and Build projects.
  • Proficiency in preparing Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs, and Client/Stakeholder Management plans.
  • Familiarity with Design and Build projects and bid delivery processes in the water and/or wastewater engineering sector.
  • Experience in international project management is beneficial but not essential.
