Job Description

Electrical and Instrumentation Designer now required to work with a $100m plus manufacturing business based in RAK with a focus on EPC projects within the Energy, Petrochem, Oil and Gas, Steel Fabrication and Modular sector.

This will be based in RAK or Sharjah UAE.

Electrical and Instrumentation Designer/Draftsman shall develop concepts & ideas created by the discipline engineers and project engineers, and aid in developing them to detailed CAD/REVIT drawings to fulfil the requirements of the projects. This role involves collaborating with electrical engineers and construction teams to ensure that electrical designs and installations meet project specifications and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.

  1. Drawings (2D/3D as necessary) for various types of projects executed by company.
  2. Using CAD/REVIT software to produce Electrical Instrumentation Telecom plans/sections/elevations and details, ensuring that all layouts are compliant with the latest industry standards and in line with the project specifications.
  3. Prepare and aid in preparing drawings such as Electrical/Instrument/Telecom (EIT) Equipment Layouts, General arrangements, working drawings, Cable schedules, Load Schedules, MCT Schedules, cable block diagrams, termination drawings Installation Drawings, Shop Drawings, cable tray layouts, cable routing layouts, material Take-offs etc. with minimal supervision or guidance.
  4. Review drawing outputs. This includes conformance of the output with the conceptual project requirements and the technical details with their discipline.
  5. Reworking and modifying designs/drawings based on comments and reviews from Client.
  6. Working under the guidelines of Lead E&I Engineer on various engineering deliverables (not limited to E-I-T) as required for each project.
  7. Conducting site visits during various construction stages and preparation of RED LINE mark-ups.
  8. Preparation of As Built drawings and documents as required for each project.

Salary on offer will be circa 9k AED all inclusive, Open to outside of the UAE applications, Visa expenses will be covered by this company.
