The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and proven experience in a manufacturing setting. As an Electrical Engineer you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the production capabilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.

 

Electrical Engineer - Leeds
£32000-£38000 (DOE)
Days Based Role - Monday to Friday 
Permanent 

 

Situated in Leeds, this manufacturing company has been established for over 40 years and is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join their existing team in supporting the production facilities ensuring the highest standards of efficiency. The role of an Electrical Engineer: 

You will join a team of engineers tasked with maintaining and developing the manufacturing plant and equipment, utilizing both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing plant and equipment defects and developing effective solutions
  • Assisting with R&D projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes and re-engineering plant systems
  • Hands-on assembly of equipment
  • Actively promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the site

The Requirements of an Electrical Engineer:

  • Extensive electrical engineering experience
  • Electrically Qualified 
  • Mechanical skills are a plus
  • Ideally, a broad range of electrical engineering expertise, including design, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC control
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent technical fault-finding abilities
  • Exceptional prioritization and project development skills
  • Quick learner who is resourceful and highly detail-oriented
