Due to significant expansion and growth, our client in Bristol is a looking for experienced Planner/ Project Control Engineers to work across a portfolio of major infrastructure projects in Bristol and the Southwest.. They are a leading professional services company specialising in programme/project management, cost management and consulting across defence, nuclear, renewables, rail, aviation, water/utilities, and highways sectors.

Joining the team in Bristol, you will work as part of the Project Controls group regionally, providing performance reporting and analysis support to your project. The responsibilities include developing work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines, establishing progress and cost monitoring methods, producing project control reports, and providing performance analysis.

SC/DV Clearance is desirable, however the ability to gain clearance is essential. This role includes hybrid working, car allowance, excellent career development plan, yearly pay reviews and competitive benefits package.

It's a permanent position, predominately client facing, this may be part of a large team or as the key day to day contact point with the client. Role: Permanent - Project Controls Engineer / Planner

Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working – Flexible Adult Working)

Salary: £45,000pa - £65,000p/a (depending on experience) + car allowance.

Type: Consultancy (Infrastructure Projects- Client Facing)

The Project Controls Engineer/ Planner must have some experience in:

  • Performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
  • Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
  • Previous experience working within the Nuclear/Rail/ Highways/ Aviation/Defence Industry is essential, must be eligible to gain SC/DV clearance.
  • Planning/ controls background.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project schedules that assist and align with project requirements.
  • Develop the project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team. 
  • Reduce uncertainty, understand objectives, and improve efficiency.
