Our client, a leader in nuclear decommissioning and waste management, is seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to join their dynamic team. Our client is at the forefront of nuclear decommissioning, specialising in the safe and efficient handling of low-level radioactive waste from power stations nationwide. With ambitious plans to expand their operations and quadruple their team size over the next 2-3 years, this is an exciting time to join their journey.
Location: Hybrid (3 days from home, 2 days on-site in Dungeness)
Salary: £50,000pa - £57,000pa
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor project costs to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and engineering teams to optimise cost control processes.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support project decision-making.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer in a related industry, preferably in nuclear, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
