Exciting Opportunity: Vehicle Technician

Role: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Newark
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000+ DOE (competitive salary based on experience)
Hours: 41.5 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (with a guaranteed day off during the week)

Holidays: 28 days per year, including bank holidays.

Our client is a leading UK-based independent automotive chain, specializing in tires, MOTs, servicing, batteries, and exhausts. As they continue to grow, they are eager to welcome an experienced Vehicle Technician to their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Problem Solver: Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, delivering high-quality work to keep customers on the road.
  • Maintain Peak Performance: Service vehicles meticulously, following manufacturer guidelines to ensure reliability and longevity.
  • Keep Cars Running Smoothly: Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations for safety and optimal performance.
  • Build Trust and Transparency: Communicate effectively with customers, clearly explaining repairs and recommendations.
  • Promote a Safe and Organized Environment: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, prioritizing safety for yourself and others.
  • Safety First: Uphold all company health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced Technician: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role, with a genuine passion for automotive repair.
  • Master of Mechanics: Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and repair principles, capable of diagnosing and fixing various issues.
  • Communication Champion: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to customers.
  • Team Player with Independence: Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, contributing positively to the group’s success.
  • Customer Service Superstar: Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and building trust and loyalty.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (a Plus): A Full UK Driving Licence is preferred, but not mandatory.

Ideal candidates should hold a Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification.
