Position: Production Assistant
Location: Wallsend
Type: Permanent
Salary: £45,000 per annum (some flexibility for the right candidate)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safety and coordination of the production area.
- Plan manpower, time, and plant resources to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise labour and ensure all trades are cleared from areas ahead of production.
- Coordinate production area activities and plan at least a month in advance.
- Maintain high safety standards throughout the production process.
Person Specification:
- Time-served Plater, Plating Supervisor, or General Foreman with experience in heavy steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A team player with a flexible approach and a no-nonsense attitude.
- Able to inspire and lead others, with the potential to grow into a Production Leader.
