Job Description
Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Nursery in Abingdon who have a vacancy for a Deputy Nursery Manager. They are looking for someone to start in October or as soon as possible after. This Deputy Nursery Manager role is a full time role, 40hrs per week and has the potential for career and training progression; incentives include childcare reductions and a day of for your birthday. This is a permanent position with salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
This Nursery offers a welcoming and nurturing environment where children can grow in confidence and creativity. The staff are friendly and take an active role in the children settling into the nursery and they are looking for someone to join their team to foster strong relationships with both children and their parents.
Deputy Nursery Manager Role:
- Supporting the Manager with the running of the Nursery
- Take an active role in the planning and implementation of the activities
- Encourage, model and praise positive behaviour to children
- Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills
- Support and supervise other members of staff within the team
- Ensure that good relationships are maintained with parents with timely and effective communication
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies
Deputy Nursery Manager Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education
- Current Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Recent Experience in a Nursery
- Strong communication and the ability to work collaboratively
