Resourcery Group is proud to be recruiting for a dynamic and innovative not-for-profit organisation based in the Manchester area. As their Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial success of this growing charity. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Director and lead a team of both part-qualified and qualified accountants.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Overseeing all financial operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
- Leading and managing the finance team, providing support, guidance and driving performance.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organisation's growth and impact.
- Working closely with budget holders to ensure effective financial planning and control.
- Monitoring and analysing financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial processes and systems are efficient and fit for purpose.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) with significant experience in a senior finance role within the charitiable sector
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies to support organisational growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Experience working in the not-for-profit sector is essential.

- Hybrid working - ideally 2-3 days per week on site in the Manchester area
