Job Description

Class Act Teaching Services is working with a specialised STEM College in the South Oxfordshire District who are looking for an Engineering Teacher to start a permanent role as soon as possible. This Engineering Teacher role will involve teaching KS4 and KS5 Engineering and Product Design. The College prides itself on it's high quality and modern facilities, and it's passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths subjects. They are happy to support an ECT in this role.

Engineering Teacher Role:

  • Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Engineering and Product Design curriculum
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
  • Maintain a well organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Science Teacher Requirement:

  • Hold QTS or QTLS
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience as an Engineering Teacher or teaching an associated subject
  • Experience using the associated resources, such as software and equipment
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • A relevant Engineering or Product Design related degree is desirable
  • Have a genuine passion for STEM Subject
