Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Design, develop, enhance and maintain software solutions leveraging technologies such as JAVA, Spring, Angular/React, jBPM/Camunda and Databases on public / private cloud environment.
Work closely with product owners and analysts to understand requirements and deliver high quality solutions.
Provide estimates for software builds, including design, development and testing.
Support, monitoring and troubleshooting of both production and non- production environments.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Good experience including system design, development, architecture and solving complex IT problems
Experience developing medium to large size software application covering:
Core Java 1.8+, multi-threading.
HTML5 and CSS3 frameworks and knowledge in React/Angular, Java-script Node JS.
middleware messaging experience with MQ/TIBCO or Kafka
working with Databases, SQL / NoSQL
Spring, Spring Boot, GIT, ANT, IntelliJ/Eclipse, JIRA
understanding of HTTP protocol and REST API?s
General server-side development and deployment experience
Good knowledge of Unix and scripting.
Experience with dev-ops culture and ci/cd methods and principles
Good knowledge of standard development and build tools, e.g., GIT, TeamCity etc.
Experience in Distributed Caching, Agile Delivery Methodologies, Unit Testing methodologies
Experience with containerization and public/private cloud deployments
This role requires Monday - Friday working pattern, with 2 days per week working onsite at client location in Glasgow.
