Job Title: Estimator/Bid Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Bournemouth
Sector: Structural Steel
Are you an experienced construction estimator with a background in glazing projects?
Would you like to work for a family run business operating in the UK & Europe?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family run business who are operating within the structural steel market. Due to growth, they are seeking to employ an experienced estimator with a background in estimating structural steel projects across the commercial sector. You will be working alongside an already established team to provide accurate & detailed quotations to a tier 1 contractor client base.
Responsibilities as an estimator:
- Building new relationships with main contractor clients to ensure you will be on upcoming tender lists
- Prepare detailed & high quality quotations
- Negotiation of terms with clients
- Identifying any new leads, using market data and prospecting tools
- Reading from design drawings to produce take offs to a high standard
We would welcome conversations with estimators who:
- Have a background in estimating structural steel
- Possess a good understanding of the contractual process
- Are able to read from architectural drawings
- Can communicate across internal teams and external clients
- Is a confident user of Logikal - advantageous
