HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic (PLEASE NOTE THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK WILL BE ON TRAILERS)

Salary: £19.00ph - £21.00ph
Contract Type: Permanent
Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 0600 - 1530 / 0830-1800 (Plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings) OR Nights: Sunday – Thursday 20:30 – 06:00am

We are currently seeking a dedicated HGV / Trailer Technician to perform essential maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles. This HGV Technician role is vital for ensuring vehicle reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • As an HGV / Trailer Technician, conduct routine maintenance and repairs in line with VOSA standards
  • The HGV / Trailer Technician will perform diagnostics and defect rectifications.
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections is a key duty for the HGV /Trailer Technician.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and inventory, a responsibility of the HGV /Trailer Technician.
  • Tail lift repairs, curtain repairs, axle work, ABS/EBS work
