MOT Tester/Technician Opportunity

Role Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Boston
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000+ DOE

Hours: 41.5 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (with a day off during the week)
  • Optional Sunday shifts from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with overtime pay of £1,507.68 added to your annual salary on a rota basis every other week.

Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per year, including bank holidays

About the Company

Our client is a premier UK-based independent fast-fit automotive chain, specialising in tyres, MOTs, servicing, batteries, and exhausts. Having built a strong reputation over 50 years, they are now seeking an experienced MOT specialist to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and record results in the DVSA computer system
  • Install company-specified products on customer vehicles and perform related services
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the center and equipment
  • Promote and sell the company’s products and services, driving revenue growth and exceeding customer expectations
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service
  • Follow management instructions, demonstrating a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills
  • Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company uniform requirements
  • Be adaptable to fluctuating demand, ensuring smooth operation of the center

Requirements:

  • Valid MOT Tester license issued by the DVSA
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance, City & Guilds, or an equivalent qualification
