This well-established legal practice in Hertfordshire are seeking a Legal Assistant and a Legal Secretary to join their Private Client team. If you're looking to advance your legal career in a supportive environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
Position Overview
As a Legal Assistant in the Private Client team, you will play a key role in providing a fully effective service to clients by progressing client files under the direction of the Team Leader. The secretary will manage the diaries and work for two partners in the Private Client Department undertaking a variety of secretarial dues as required.
Responsibilities
- Take client instructions and progress matters/files under the Team Leader's guidance
- Draft Wills, Powers of Attorney and administer Estates and Trusts
- Provide courteous and efficient client service in line with the organisation's standards
- Maintain allocated caseload ensuring high standards of file management and time recording
- Drafting correspondence and proof reading
- Managing diaries
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal or Secretary in Private Client work
- Strong drafting skills for Wills, LPAs and Probate documents
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Proficiency in relevant legal accounting systems and MS Office
- Ability to manage own caseload efficiently and meet targets
- Good understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and Code of Conduct
