**Your Role and Responsibilities:**
As an EC&I Engineer, you will:
- Deliver technical solutions that meet client requirements in EC&I engineering, adhering to relevant standards and regulations.
- Support technical solutions at design reviews, considering environmental impact throughout the design process.
- Supervise junior engineers, graduates, or draughtsmen on low complexity work packages.
- Recognise the limits of your technical understanding and seek direction when necessary.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate design risks throughout the design/product lifecycle.
- Support technical design proposals as part of the tendering process.
- Maintain commercial and project awareness, accurately estimating time to complete tasks.
- Understand and implement change control for scope changes.
**Skills and Experience Required:**
**Essential:**
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals for Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation, Safety systems.
- Experience with plant and documentation configuration management.
- Understanding of BS7671 and low voltage directive.
- Proficiency with CAE tools used in the EC&I design process.
- Competence in a wide range of computer packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Database, Outlook, and Project.
- Completion of a relevant and recognised Industry apprenticeship or Graduate Trainee scheme.
- Experience delivering optioneering studies through to detailed design packages for clients within highly regulated industries.
**Desirable:**
- Basic experience and understanding of delegation, motivation, effective communication, and teamwork.
- Ability to work and manage within virtual teams.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, or SEE Electrical.
- Some understanding of Functional Safety (BS EN 61508, BS EN 61511).
- Nuclear industry experience.
**Qualifications:**
**Essential:**
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering) or HNC/HND with substantial relevant professional experience.
**Desirable:**
- Professional Registration and Institute Membership.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution (typically IET) or in the process of applying for membership.
