Job Description

Class Act Teaching Services are working with a college, which under the former Ofsted ratings for schools was rated 'Good', who are looking for an individual with experience in the motor mechanics industry for a role as a Motor Vehicle Technician. The role will involve supporting the department through the preparations and maintenance of materials and equipment and the preparation of their use. The college are looking for a Motor Vehicle Technician for a permanent role starting immediately. It is not necessary to have any previous education education based experience as the college are happy to provide training, however, industry experience is essential.

Motor Vehicle Technician Role:

  • Maintain a well organised workshop with accurate monitoring of stock levels and maintenance of machinery
  • Be able to prepare the workshop and the associated materials and equipment for use
  • Adhere to the most recent health and safety practices at all times
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to enhance the learning experience and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies

Motor Vehicle Technician Requirements:

  • Recent industry experience as a mechanic or relevant experience within the motor vehicle industry
  • Up to date awareness of current health and safety practices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
