Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 2) seeking to positively impact the lives of children with complex needs? Have you previously worked as a Support Teaching Assistant for SEN 121 in an educational setting, specifically with students requiring additional support? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you! Step Teachers are collaborating with a school in Newham that aims to become an outstanding institution, offering students a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment for their social, intellectual, and emotional growth, as well as the development of their existing and new skills. This is a long-term role and it is set to commence immediately.
SEN 1:1 TA Role:
- As a SEN 1:1 TA you should be able to provide one-on-one sessions with special needs kids.
- Assist with classroom management and create a positive and safe classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
- Help maintain a clean and organised learning environment.
- As a SEN 1:1 TA you should be able to communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
SEN 1:1 TA Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young children, especially in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Willingness to collaborate with teachers and support staff.
- A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- SEN experience is essential.
