Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Plant Fitter to join our clients team based in the Lincoln area. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of construction plant equipment, ensuring our fleet remains in top working condition. This is a workshop-based position, providing a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-equipped facility with a supportive team.
Role: Plant Fitter
Location: Lincolnshire
Pay Rate: £25 - £27 per hour
Working Hours: Regular Days
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on plant machinery, including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, and other heavy equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to ensure swift repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure all tasks are completed in line with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Plant Fitter, with a solid understanding of plant equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic skills and experience in fault finding on a variety of plant machinery.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a workshop environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
