Our client, a reputable legal firm in Suffolk, is seeking a Commercial Property Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Legal Secretary / Paralegal with at least 2 years' experience in commercial property to contribute to the firm's ongoing success.
Position Overview
As a Commercial Property Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's commercial property department by handling administrative duties, client care, and legal processes. Your work will ensure smooth transactions and excellent client service.
Responsibilities
- Manage email traffic and daily phone calls with clients, estate agents, and third parties
- Carry out ID and compliance checks
- Draft standard documentation and correspondence
- Conduct Land Registry searches
- Create and send mortgage reports and contract reports
- Request searches and management packs
- Check external portals for updates and actions
- Support in exchanging contracts and setting up completions
- Handle post-completion work
Requirements
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Familiarity with legal document management and attention to detail
- Fast and accurate typing skills with strong written English and grammar
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work independently
- Team player with a proactive and collaborative approach
- Friendly and personable nature with excellent customer service skills
