Position: HGV Class 2 Driver / IPAF Operator


Company: Venatu Recruitment (on behalf of a client specializing in rental solutions and powered access equipment sales and training)

Job Overview:

  • Position: Class 2Driver/Demonstrator
  • Location: Normanton WF6
  • Purpose: Deliver and collect powered access platforms while providing face-to-face customer service and equipment demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Interaction & Service:
    • Act as the primary face-to-face contact with customers during deliveries and collections.
    • Demonstrate equipment use and answer customer questions clearly and accurately.
  2. Communication:
    • Maintain communication with the Transport Coordinator, advising of any delays.
    • Collaborate with the Transport and Service teams for smooth operations.

  4. Safety & Compliance:
    • Follow health and safety guidelines.
    • Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

  5. Autonomy & Responsibility:
    • Manage your own delivery schedule and take ownership of tasks.
    • Consider environmental and financial impacts, such as efficient fuel use.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Driving License: Clean Class 2 license is essential 0 points.
  • IPHAF licence: a must as will need to operate them when loading and unloading off the vehicle.
  • Age: Must be at least 25 (for insurance purposes).
  • Experience: Previous experience in loading, unloading, and securing heavy plant is an advantage and must have over 1 year class 2 dirivng experience. 
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, customer-focused, excellent communication skills, and a flexible attitude to handle changing business needs.

PAY:

£17 per hour for the first 45 hours then £25 per hour after this.

Shifts – All start 5am can finish around 1500 /1700 hours depending which route you are on.
