Job Description
Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Primary School in Oxford who are looking for a teacher to start in January 2025 to teach their new alternate provision class. The role is an ongoing supply role with the potential to continue until the end of the academic year.
This Primary School strives to provide the children of the community it is located in with high quality education while supporting the emotional wellbeing of every child. Under the former Ofsted ratings for schools, this Primary School was rated ‘Good’.
SEND Teacher Role:
- Strong knowledge of the primary school curriculum and the ability to adapt this is the needs of each individual
- Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, throughout the school and external professionals
- Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students, as well as being able to adapt to each student
- Able to plan and deliver engaging and dynamic lessons
- Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively
SEND Teacher Requirements:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
- Recent school-based experience teaching in a Primary School and working with SEND children
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
- Experience working with SEND is essential
