Step Teachers are working with a school in St Albans to recruit 2 SEND Teaching Assistants for a full time supply role supporting individuals with SEND in a mainstream class, initially until the end of term with the potential to be extended beyond.

SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Able to provide support on a 1-2-1, small group and whole class basis 
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to support student and encourage their progression
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Recent experience working in a primary school or with school aged children
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • Previous SEND experience is essential
