Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts and we are currently working with a Secondary School in Cheshunt who are looking for a Business and Economics Teacher to start after the October half term for a full time role. This Business and Economics Teacher role is initially on ongoing supply role with the view to be made permanent for a teacher who can make a positive impact within the school.

Consistently rated ‘Good’ under the former Ofsted ratings for schools, this academy aims to provide a rich and high quality curriculum for every student that enables them to develop their knowledge and understanding. The school are advocates of each student being respectful and responsible for their actions.

Business and Economics Teacher Role:

  • Strong knowledge of the Business Studies and Economics curriculum
  • Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Business and Economics Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a teacher of Business and/or Economics
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • A relevant Business Studies or Economics related degree is desirable.
  • SEND experience is desirable
