Job Description
Due to our continued growth and increasing workload, our Client is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer to become a key member of our team.
Role for a CNC Setter/Operator/ Programmer Overview:
In this critical role as a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer, you will ensure the smooth production of high-quality components. You will multitask by setting up and operating multiple machines while maintaining precise tooling and inspection records.
Primary Machines:
- HAAS Lathe Y-Axis with Live Tooling (DS30Y & ST40)
Secondary Machines (Support Role):
- HAAS Mills (EC400, VF4SS & UMC1000SS)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm
- Friday: 8am - 1pm
- Total: 39 hours per week
Key Responsibilities for a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer:
- Set, program, and operate HAAS machines.
- Work to tight tolerances and manufacture according to customer drawings.
- Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) completion of work orders.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to 5S and COSHH standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on all tools and equipment.
- Update and implement job setup sheets.
- Collaborate with the production manager and quality team to resolve production and machine issues.
Candidate for CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer Requirements:
- Enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing machine shop.
- Effective communication skills.
- Commitment to lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- CAM experience.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
