Our client, a well-established law firm in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Secretary or Paralegal to join their successful team. If you have a background in residential conveyancing and are passionate about providing exceptional client service, this could be the ideal role for you.

Position Overview
You will play a crucial role in supporting the conveyancing team in delivering high-quality service to clients, and you will be responsible for managing client queries, maintaining accurate files and assisting fee earners in preparing key documents and reports. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of property transactions and ensure clients receive an outstanding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle client queries via face-to-face, by telephone, and email communication
  • Open and close files, conduct AML checks, and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the conveyancing team
  • Prepare client quotes, draft completion statements, and assist with reports
  • Raise enquiries, reply to requisitions, and carry out online searches
  • Use Land Registry portal to order documents and submit registrations
  • Generate Stamp Duty Land Tax calculations and submit applications
  • Draft legal forms such as AP1s and TP1s
  • Prepare and submit bills, receipts, and payments to accounts department

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in residential conveyancing
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software
