Job Advert: Logistics Admin Assistant (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: HU7 Sutton Fields Area
Salary: £12.40 per hour, increasing to £12.88 per hour (may increase further)
Hours: 40 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern
Shift Pattern:

  • Day Shift:
    • Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
    • Friday: 6:00 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Late Shift:
    • Monday to Thursday: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
    • Friday: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Admin Assistant to join our client based in the HU7 Sutton Fields area. This is a temp-to-perm role, offering the chance to secure a long-term position with a leading company. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established team and will be working on a rotating shift pattern, with the opportunity to enhance your career in logistics and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in Logistics Operations: Assist with the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring smooth administration of stock, deliveries, and schedules.
  • 8D's and NCR's: Provide administrative support in dealing with 8D's (Corrective Actions) and NCR's (Non-Conformance Reports), ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
  • MRP System: Use MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to help with inventory management, orders, and stock control.
  • Manufacturing Support: Learn and contribute to manufacturing practices such as 5S (workplace organisation) and C1 (Continuous Improvement) methodologies.
  • General Administrative Duties: Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping related to logistics and production.
  • Collaborative Work: Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth processes, resolving any issues that may arise in a timely and professional manner.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment is essential.
  • Mathematics & English: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • MRP & Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with MRP systems, and a willingness to learn key manufacturing methodologies such as 5S and C1.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Team Player: Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the overall efficiency of the operation.
  • Good Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
