Assistant Service Centre Manager required in Andover. 
  • Starting basic salary up to £29-33,000 per annum.
  • £5,000+ uncapped annual site performance related bonus potential.
  • Flexible 5 day working rota: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm with a scheduled day off in the week and Saturdays 8:30am-5:30pm.
Our client, an automotive service centre group with multiple sites nationwide, are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Manager for their centre in Andover.
 
Reporting to the Centre Manager and working alongside a friendly workshop team, your key responsibilities shall include include:
  • Assist the Centre Manager in the operation and daily running of the centre.
  • Play a key part in the achieving targets including key performance indicators.
  • Assist in the workshop with the service, maintenance and repair of vehicles. 
  • If you have an MOT licence, carry out MOT tests and complete any associated documentation/repair work
  • Maximising workflow through the workshop to achieve maximum efficiencies.
  • Oversee the maintenance of stock values within the centre.
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Offer and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Assisting with the training and mentoring of employees
In order to be eligible you will need to hold commercial experience with a proven background within the automotive sector at a supervisory/management level and have experience working as a Vehicle Technician given you shall frequently assist in the workshop. You will have the ability to lead and manage a team of individuals, the ability to demonstrate success at in developing and maintaining a positive sales culture, a strong customer focus with the ability to encourage the team to deliver a consistent and positive customer experience, and experience in maximising sales whilst controlling costs, compliance with centre and management standards. A UK driving licence with minimal points is mandatory.
