Are you a textiles teacher looking for your next teaching role from January? A high achieving all girls’ school are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed, and inspiring Teacher of Textiles to work in the Visual Arts and Design and Technology Curriculum Area.

This is a Maternity Cover post for a qualified Teacher of Textiles, initially for two terms. The applicant would be required to teach some KS3 Design Technology, DT Textiles GCSE (DT Specification) and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (both Art and Design Specification).

Start Date: January 2025

Length: Maternity Cover (Up to 1 year)

Subject: DT, Textiles, Fashion

Type: Part-time 0.8 (4 days a week)

Daily Pay: £198.80 to £257.89

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a good relevant degree and be QTS qualified in DT/Textiles by the start date
  • Have the subject knowledge and experience to teach Design Technology at KS3, DT Textiles GCSE and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (Art and Design Specification)
  • Be able to motivate and inspire students to love Design Technology and Art
  • Be committed to working successfully as a member of a team.
  • Have very strong organisational and interpersonal skills
