Interim Contract Delivery and Quality Manager
  • Location: North London
  • Pay Rate: £34.95 per hour (umbrella)
We are seeking a highly skilled Interim Contract Delivery and Quality Manager to manage and commission large-scale projects, including mechanical and electrical services, responsive repairs, maintenance, and planned refurbishment works. This role is essential to achieving the Council’s objectives of delivering value for money, high-quality services, and outstanding outcomes for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Commissioning & Contract Management
    • Oversee multi-million-pound contracts for mechanical and electrical services, responsive repairs, servicing, and planned maintenance projects.
    • Ensure projects meet agreed outcomes, Council objectives, and affordability targets, with a focus on value for money and high-quality service delivery.
  2. Project Accountability
    • Lead all stages of project management, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, delivery, cost control, and quality assurance.
    • Provide comprehensive contract management from inception to final account for planned maintenance and refurbishment projects.
  3. Technical Advice & Guidance
    • Deliver up-to-date building surveying and technical advice to the Property Services Team, council members, and customers.
    • Ensure recommendations and decisions are well-informed and technically robust.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive M&E Knowledge: Strong expertise in mechanical and electrical services and building systems.
  • Building Construction & Maintenance: Thorough understanding of building techniques, contract law, and administration.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Ability to identify building defects and recommend effective remedial solutions.
  • Health & Safety: Familiarity with statutory regulations, CDM compliance, asbestos awareness, and risk assessments.
  • Technical Trade Expertise: Knowledge of domestic building techniques and trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and wet trades.
