Job Title: Management Accountant - FTC

Location:

Chelmsford, Essex

Job Type:

Fixed Term Contract, Full-Time hours - Until July 25

Salary:

£45,000 - £50,000 Per annum

 

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, as the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing key management reports and assisting with local management accounting. 

Job Duties:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Monitoring and analysing financial data
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to key stakeholders as required 
  • Provide analysis and commentary to support individual service areas, business unit reviews and monthly business unit performance reports.
  • Assisting in year-end audit preparation
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) ideally or Part Qualified
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience of accounts preparation from TB to final accounts
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user
  • Fully IT literate, able to adopt new systems with ease

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in management accounting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial acumen

 

Working Conditions:

This role is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week in the Essex based office
