What You'll Be Doing:

  • Planned Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks efficiently and on time, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance.
  • Reactive Repairs: Respond swiftly to client call-outs, tackling repairs, servicing, and installations with precision.
  • Fault Finding: Identify and report issues promptly, offering solutions and maintaining a positive rapport with clients.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Perform daily checks and keep equipment properly adjusted for seamless operation.
  • Subcontractor Supervision: Guide and oversee subcontractors, ensuring they meet quality standards and comply with requirements.
  • Client Relations: Communicate effectively, address complaints, and deliver exceptional service with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Health & Safety Champion: Apply safety best practices, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all work complies with safety standards.
  • Mentor Apprentices: Share your expertise to help apprentices grow and succeed.
  • Flexible Response: Be part of the on-call rota, ready to meet client needs, even outside regular hours.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential:
    • Time-served qualifications in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering (SVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
    • Full UK Driving Licence.
    • Happy to obtain Disclosure Scotland.

  • Desirable Qualifications (advantageous - not essential|)
    • PASMA.
    • IPAF.
    • Unvented hot water systems qualification.
    • 18th Edition Electrical certification.
    • Commercial Gas tickets.
