Heat Treatment Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £52,500

Shifts: 4 on/4 off rotating days and nights (6am–6pm/6pm–6am)

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Heat Treatment Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role will see you playing a key part in maintaining advanced heat treatment equipment, ensuring robust processes and world-class operational efficiency.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the Engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

 

Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including furnaces, vacuum pumps, cooling farms and refrigeration systems.

Maintaining pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to support smooth operations.

Implementing and managing a preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring accurate logging and traceability.

Responding swiftly to equipment breakdowns, identifying faults, and minimising production downtime.

Conducting root cause analysis for equipment issues and implementing corrective measures.

Handling electrical work, including lighting, fault-finding, and installations.

Working within 5S methodologies to maintain workplace organisation and high standards.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function.

 

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Qualifications: HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Experience: Relevant skills in a multidisciplinary manufacturing environment.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of PLCs, variable drives, controls, and instrumentation.

Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and self-motivation.

Other Essentials: A valid UK driver’s licence and proficiency with MS Office.
