Senior EC& I Engineer
We are representing a leading organization that specialises in delivering consultancy services, engineering solutions, and site operations support to top Defence contractors in the UK. With rapid and continued growth, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior EC&I Engineer to join their dynamic team. This contract role requires SC Clearance, with the ability to obtain DV Clearance. The position offers a hybrid work model, with a minimum of 2 days in the office every two weeks, and is Outside IR35 (pending determination).
As a Senior EC&I Engineer you will need to have a strong bias towards Controls and Instrumentation (C&I) and experience in Building Services. This role involves generating and managing EC&I engineering project deliverables, as well as providing essential support in project management, stakeholder engagement, and bid management.
Responsibilities:
Generate EC&I Engineering Project Deliverables:
- Block Diagrams
- Basic calculations
- Technical specifications
- Requirements
- Technical reports
Provide Project, Stakeholder, and Bid Management Support:
- Input into the generation of project schedules
- Maintaining relationships with our Clients and the Supply Chain
- Generating and responding to Technical Queries (TQs)
Electrical or Controls and Instrumentation Principles:
- Design fundamentals
- Application of formulae and calculations
- General understanding of EC&I drawings, including reading and producing block, line, layout, schematic, wiring, termination diagrams
- Fundamentals of safety systems, interlocks, and designing to ‘Fail Safe’
Qualifications
- Candidates will be expected to undergo UK Security Vetting to DV level; hence, they must be British Nationals and have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing.
- Ability to understand problems and propose effective solutions.
