Job Description
Class Act Teaching Services are working with a Secondary School in Didcot who are looking for a Religious Studies Teacher to start as soon as possible. This Religious Studies Teacher position is part time, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and is initially until the end of term but this is likely to be extended into the new year.
The Secondary School is driven to provide an inclusive education where every student has access to an education that gives them the support and resources needed to thrive. The school are looking for an experienced teacher who can make a positive impact on both the school and the students.
Religious Studies Teacher Role:
- Strong knowledge of Religious Studies and the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
- Maintain an organised and professional classroom as well as associated resources
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to enable them to develop and learn
- Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons inclusive of all students within the class and prepare them for their exams
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Religious Studies Teacher Requirements:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary schools
- Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Religious Studies Teacher
- A relevant Religious Studies related degree is desirable.
- SEND experience is desirable
