Job Description

Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Primary School in Oxford who are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in a Year 3 Class with mild SEND. The role is full time and the school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible and continue at least until the end of term with the view to this being extended. Previous Teaching Assistant experience is required

This Primary School is part of a Multi-Academy trust and is dedicated to developing children not just through their academic learning, but as a well-rounded individual as well. This school has a one form-entry and strive for learning to be both enjoyable and challenging.

Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Able to provide 1 to 1 and small group support alongside whole class under the direction of the teacher
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to support students and encourage their progression
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • Previous SEND experience is essential
