Key Responsibilities
As an Instrument Technician, you will:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Tackle troubleshooting, lead projects, and handle equipment refurbishments.
- Maximise the availability and reliability of production processes in line with safety and environmental standards.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A recognised apprenticeship and HNC qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Control and Instrumentation.
- Experience in a manufacturing or continuous industrial process environment.
- Proficiency in industrial instrumentation, fault-finding, calibration, and control systems like PLCs/DCS.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings to accurately diagnose issues.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
You'll be a proactive, analytical problem-solver with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety. This role requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, with the motivation to mentor apprentices and continually expand technical expertise.
Working Hours and Flexibility
The core hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:00, with some flexibility based on operational needs.
