Senior Project Commissioning Engineer

- Leadership Opportunities: Manage project engineers and technicians, guiding them through Setting to Work (StW), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and inactive commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and input into high-level commissioning strategy and control documentation.
- Prepare project-specific documentation, including Control Plans, StW documents, SAT documents, Inactive Commissioning documents, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Lifetime Quality Record (LTQR) documentation.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to review and generate Control Plans, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) documents, StW procedures, SAT documents, Inactive Commissioning documents, and LTQR documentation.
- Attend and witness FATs, ensuring compliance with agreed testing plans.
- Oversee equipment installation, ensuring compliance with installation documentation and subsequent inspections.
- Witness and sign off on StW and SAT activities, ensuring adherence to documented procedures.
- Liaise with the Client Site Commissioning Manager on commissioning progress and issues.
- Report plant and equipment issues to the Site Project Manager and facilitate timely rectification.
- Promote effective communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration to achieve project objectives.

Technical Competency:

- Maintain professional and technical competence through ongoing professional development.
- Interpret technical requirements of the project, developing solutions with internal specialists or external suppliers.
- Consolidate and present engineering documentation for internal approvals and client review.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Engineering Degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering. (Essential)
- Nuclear Triple Bar Qualification. (Desirable)
- Membership of a relevant technical/professional body. (Desirable)
- IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace (training will be provided). (Desirable)
- Commissioning experience on a nuclear-licensed site. (Essential)
- Supplier witness testing experience. (Essential)
- Experience developing test documentation. (Essential)
- Control panel design experience. (Desirable)
- General understanding of mechanical and process engineering disciplines. (Desirable)
- Fault-finding skills. (Desirable)
- On-site supplier management experience. (Desirable)
