Job Description

You’re a Finance Manager and love working for a smaller business where you feel part of a team, can make a difference and have influence.

But it’s also important to feel secure and be part of an organisation with a solid past and a bright future.

How about this construction sector employer which averages about £10m t/o and is looking for a person like you following the appointment of a new general manager.

The company has 18 employees, many out on the road during the working day. You’d be an integral part of the business, supporting a credit controller and liaising with their external accountant.

Working on Sage, you’ll prepare weekly and monthly payrolls (completed by a bureau), produce a set of accounts up to trial balance, run reports for directors and prepare statutory account submissions.

You’ve done this kind of role before, so you appreciate that you’ll be working alone to complete work accurately and on time.

Your working hours will be 8 am to 4 pm, with four days in the office and then working from home for one day.

It’s construction with a busy yard, so it’s casual dress, but the offices are pleasant and open plan, and this friendly lot has occasional social gatherings. There is on-site parking, and you’ll get 25 days holiday plus bank holiday with a 3% pension contribution.
